Creating a Team in FocusBox

When using FocusBox, you can collaborate with others by creating teams, inviting members, and managing projects together. Teams help structure workflows, assign roles, and enable seamless collaboration on tasks.

⚠️ Note: You need to be logged into FocusBox to access the Teams Dashboard at teams.focusbox.io.

How to Create a Team in FocusBox

Step 1: Navigate to the Teams Dashboard

Step 2: Create a New Team

  • Click the Create Team button.
  • Enter a team name in the input field.
  • Click Create Team to confirm.

Once your team is created, you can manage members, assign roles, and start collaborating on projects.

How to Invite Team Members

Step 1: Open the Invitations Tab

  • In the Teams Dashboard, click on Invitations.
  • Click the Invite User button.

Step 2: Fill in User Details

  • Enter the email address of the user you want to invite.
  • Select their role (Admin, Member, Viewer).
  • Choose the team they will be joining.
  • Toggle project access permissions as needed.
  • Click Invite.

The invited user will receive an email invitation, which they can accept to join the team.

Managing Users & Permissions

You can manage users within your team by:

  • Assigning different roles (Admin, Member, Viewer).
  • Granting or restricting project access.
  • Removing users from the team when necessary.

To manage users:

  • Navigate to the Users tab.
  • Select a user to edit their role or remove them from the team.

Joining Another Team

If someone invites you to a team, you’ll receive an email invitation. You can accept the invite by:

  • Clicking the Join Team button in the email.
  • Logging into FocusBox Teams.
  • Navigating to Invitations and accepting the invite.

Once accepted, you’ll be able to access all projects and tasks within that team.
